A week to discover the taste of the island

Between Cagliari, the pearl of the Mediterrean, and Oristano, the island’s noble soul, our culinary tour will take place in Central-Western Sardinia. The crystalline sea of the coast ensures, as do the ponds and lagoons of the Sinis, an incredible variety of fresh fish. The vast plain of Medio Campidano and the gentle slopes of the inland hills allow the production of cheese, wine and pastry that are among the excellence of the Made in Italy gourmet food.

We chose for you different solutions to fit all*. Among them: Hotel Regina d’Arborea and B&B Sa Domu e Crakeras are two historical sites in the city of Oristano, both witnesses of the Sardinian tradition.

Located inside an historical building in the main square of Oristano, the Hotel is one of the highest expressions of Sardinian architecture of the Nineteenth century. The rooms are equipped with every comfort: private bathroom and original furniture to maintain the soul of an ancient Sardinia, noble and elegant.

B&B SA DOMU E CRAKERAS

This comfortable B&B  in the city center is the is a fine example of restoration and revaluation of a Campidanese house – the typical housing typology of this area -, where the echoes of the past have been adapted to the needs of the present: its large interiors are now equipped with all modern comforts.

GETTING HERE

By plane
Cagliari – Elmas is the main airport in Sardinia. Other airports of the island are are Olbia – Costa Smeralda and Alghero -Fertilia.

By ferry
The main harbours are Olbia, Porto Torres, Cagliari. Cagliari has much more choices of transportation included a frequent fast train line direct to Oristano’s train station and frequent buses.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ENROLMENT

Reservations can be made through our contacts webpage or by email to the following address: info@italica.school. You should  specify your name, the option you choose, your language level – take the Italica test here -.  Let us know please if you have any intolerance or food allergy, in order to change on time menus and tastings of the program. 

CONDITIONS

Food Tour – Sardegna program will start only with a minimum of 5 participants and maximum 8. All the reservations must be confirmed according to the indicated deadlines. To confirm your reservation you will be asked to pay the 30% deposit fee of the entire price.

CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT AND PAYMENT METHOD

Enrolment is confirmed with the receipt of deposit fee. The balance must be paid after the official course confirmation and in any case no later than the start of Food Tour Sardegna program.
Detailed instructions for payment will be sent by email after the receipt of the enrolment request.

*In case of cancellation due to Italica, the deposit will be fully refunded within one week after the end of registration deadline. In case of participant cancellation the deposit will not be refunded

EXTRA SERVICES

Transfers:

Private transfers can be arranged in advance, on request, and with a special price list.

Certificate of participation:

At the end of the language course, each student who attended at least 80% of the scheduled activities will receive a certificate of participation.

Insurance:

Participants are advised to have their own personal insurance.

Handling of personal data:

In accordance with the Italian legislative declaration D. Lgs 196/2001 regarding the handling of personal data, any data provided at the moment of enrolment will be handled only until completion of the enrolment of the course and held in the databases of Italica School cultural association, respecting their privacy and not sharing data with third parties for commercial or advertising ends.
